Sandrine Treiner

Sandrine Treiner is an editor, media director, and journalist. She worked in daily print journalism before joining France 3 as editor-in-chief and producer (1998 – 2009) and then France 24 (2009 – 2010), where she worked for both the French and English channels. She then joined Radio France as Deputy Director of France Culture (2010 – 2015) and later served as director (2015 – 2023). In this role, she oversaw the transformation of the station from a radio of continuous flow to one designed for on-demand listening. Under her leadership, France Culture doubled its terrestrial audience and became the second most podcasted radio station in France. She also created digital cultural offerings under a label bringing together all public broadcasting companies and initiated a festival of ideas with Arte.

As Editorial Director, she now works for Flammarion editions. The author of several non-fiction books and cultural documentaries, she is also a series editor at Gallimard editions.
